Only 29 more days in DM Appreciation Month

Appreciate Your Dungeon Master

We’ve decided that July is Dungeon Master Appreciation Month. Do something nice for your DM during the month of July. After all, your D&D game just isn’t the same without your DM. He or she delights and confounds in slaughtering your player characters on a regular basis, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Who is this “we” making these decisions? Didn’t you mean to say, “By Imperial decree, I hereby declare July to be Dungeon Master Appreciation Month. Julius Cesar can share.”

Can you do me a favor and forward this information on to my gaming group. I think they’re mad at me for cancelling last week because I “wasn’t in the mood to run.” Then again, I just gave notice to my job as a code monkey so I can go back to being a creative ape and the whole mess left poor, emotionally beleaguered me pretty shook up. Maybe you can let them know that throughout the month of July I’ll be redoubling my attempts to kill them as my final days of being gainfully employed draw near?

    Thanks a ton, sire.

By the way, this has nothing to do with D&D, but I’ve found something online that I KNOW you can’t live without. It’s a webcomic called Axe Cop – written by a six-year-old and drawn by his older brother. It’s the most amazing thing in the history of amazing things! Or is it? It is! … Or is it? Definitely yes!
